The BOWER Black Book Event

September 11, 2018  |  3 min read

Every great PA knows that to be the best in the game, it’s essential to have a Little Black Book of all your favourite businesses and contacts. As BOWER Talent is made up of PA’s and EA’s, and we work with so many wonderful different people on a daily basis, we realised that our very own Black Book is full to overflowing with pioneering businesses, organisations and ventures around London that more people need to know about! We have always loved to share our Black Book with our clients and PA’s, so back in June we thought we’d put on our very first Black Book Event to spread the love even further…

Take a sneak peek at the event here:

2018’s handpicked Black Book stars featured representatives from the Technology, Charity, Property, Security, Health, Sustainable Living and Professional Services industries. In the format of ‘lightning talks’, each representative had just 5 minutes to pitch their product to our eagerly awaiting audience…

First, Saasha Celestial-One from Olio, the revolutionary food sharing App. If like us, you are a culprit of food waste, then you need to get on this app and start trading your leftovers with your neighbours or local shops! Join the food sharing revolution here.

Following Saasha,  Charlie Hagan from Hagan & Pappin –  the creme de la creme of the private personal training world, offering bespoke personal training and nutrition programmes for individuals, families and businesses across the globe. Find your perfect training programme here.

BOWER’s own Emma Hatto was representing our sister business, ibLE – the online, pay as you go Personal Assistant Service. From diary management and travel planning to personal shopping and holiday bookings, or business assistance and support, ibLE’s highly experienced PA’s can do just about anything you need!

Essie North awed us with the inspiring mission of a charity close to our hearts – Big Change. From the start they have been supporting projects that positively engage and unlock the potential of young people – equipping them with the tools to thrive in life, not just in exams. Sign up for their newsletter and get involved here.

Next, one of London’s most high profile property advisors Jo Eccles delighted us with her 5 minute pitch for SP Property Group. Along with her weekly property column in the Metro, she runs SP Property – one of London’s leading property search & management companies with a plethora of fantastic awards under their belt.

Bethany Koby amazed us with the award-winning and innovative play kits from Tech Will Save Us, an organisations who’s made it their mission to inspire all kids and their families to build a positive technological future. An awesome present for any kid you know (or any adult), browse their online store here.

Finally, we heard from our very trusted friend Alexei Cantacuzene-Speransky from Rose Partners, a security risk consultancy firm. These ultimate security gurus advise how best to keep your privacy and security from any unwanted prying eyes.  In an age of ever increasing security and privacy issues, there’s probably never been a better time to invest…

Hosting the event, of course was BOWER Founders & Directors Georgina Bale and Emma Hatto:

Followed by networking and drinks in the gorgeous Marylebone Hotel!

We were thrilled that the event was a such a huge success and following popular demand are putting plans in motion for our next Black Book Event in early 2019.
