Bower Talent X Leadership Through Sport & Business

Not only did Bower donate all proceeds from our recent webinar series to our charity partner, Leadership Through Sport & Business, but we’re donating our time through mentorship and interview practice sessions.  Read below to find out how you can get involved.

LTSB are in the process of recruiting members for their Leadership Careers Club programme. As a mentor you will matched with a young person and will be responsible for supporting that young person for 1 hour every month for 12 months.

To find out more, please contact LTSB’s Partnership Manager

Interview Practice

LTSB are looking for individuals to support them with practise interview sessions with the young people on their programme. Practice interview sessions are a vital component of support that they give to every young person on their programme – the more practice they get, the better they become.

Guest Speaker

In a few weeks, there will be an opportunity for professionals to share their professional journeys with the young people on the LTSB programme. You will be given a 30 minute slot to talk about your career progression, from the failures to the successes. This will be a great chance to inspire a small group of young people.

Digital Ethics Debate Judge

LTSB are looking for volunteers to judge a debating session which the young people take part in. During this session, they will be split into two teams and they will be given time to create key arguments for the chosen topic. It will be your job to judge the young people on their public speaking and communication skills.

Introduce an employer

LTSB recognise that this may not be the right time for many companies to look at hiring a new apprentice. However, if you are aware of any companies who are recruiting, please do let them know and support them in advancing equality by opening up opportunities for young people from low income and marginalised backgrounds in the UK.
