The Company

The Company & Role:

Our client is a VC firm growing their office and presence in Europe. They are looking for a well-rounded EA with no ego and a ‘can do’ attitude to take on all elements of an EA role from diary, travel, events and operations through to client comms, marketing, investment data and document management, dealing with Founders and clients. They are looking for someone with a great, entrepreneurial attitude and understanding, who can work to a fast pace and high level. This role has exciting scope to grow as the firm grows and therefore, they are looking for someone with exceptional potential and stamina.

 

Location: Central London

 

Responsibilities:

  • Cover all normal EA duties, including correspondence and email management, diary management, travel and logistics etc, performed seamlessly and to a high standard
  • Provide strong support and collaboration with the partners to ensure their daily, weekly and longer-term goals are met and serviced
  • Admin support for the rest of the team, when required
  • Maintain a good understanding of the business and all existing projects to ensure that you are proactively supporting and pre-empting needs
  • High standard of relationship management across the business, investors and portfolio companies
  • Specific attention to detail and accuracy as well as having a high-level view on everything to enable you to pick up on nuances
  • Event management where required
  • Perform research and collate information
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude
  • Ability to grasp the urgency of situations naturally, to prioritise and behave proactively
  • Remain agile and flexible to change and react swiftly and professionally
  • Manage any day-to-day operational needs for the smooth running of the business
  • Liaise with suppliers and maintain good working relationships with all external and internal contacts
  • Deal with any office management, maintenance and logistics
  • Make considered efficiency and workflow suggestions and improvements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally a background in venture capital and/or in start-ups field and working in fast-paced environments
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills and good tech-fluency
  • An eye for detail and strong follow through
  • Strong organisational skills and a confident manner
  • Versatile and flexible, with the ability to work independently
  • Professional attitude, appearance and demeanour
  • Ability to set priorities independently
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to handle huge workloads and have processes in place to manage them
  • Proactive with lots of drive and motivation
  • Needs to thrive in an environment of autonomy and ‘start-up’
  • Able to consider the needs of the team as a whole and the wider business
  • Calm, straight forward and diligent
