Our client is a unique online Independent School for pupils aged 12 to 18, pioneered by the UK’s leading provider of Home-school and tutoring services. They are in an exciting stage of development and are seeking a bright and enthusiastic Head of Admissions to guide prospective parents through the admissions process.

 

The work environment is fun and far away from the usual stuffy schools and academic industry. It is an exciting time to join the team who work 100% remotely and this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate. As first point of contact for the School, this is far more than an administrative role.  You will be responsible for dealing with all communications from prospective parents, from initial enquiry through to final stages.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for new parents and prospective client enquiries
  • Work with the Head of Operations to provide all information about the School and the process to prospective clients
  • Work closely with prospective pupils and parents to understand their individual needs
  • Work with parents to effectively communicate the ethos and values of the school
  • Manage the end-to-end administration of individual applications
  • Keep all documentation/records up-to-date and in order
  • Ensure the School’s Admissions CRM system is kept up to date and accurate
  • Understand the virtual learning platform and how the school is effective online and be able to communicate effectively to address parents’ queries or concerns
  • Provide support for international students
  • Be able to answer all questions and concerns with a view to securing a placement
  • To build, maintain and strengthen relationships to maximise the number of enquiries generated
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from new prospects to onboarded pupils with a focus on client care and an ability to take responsibility for developing sales longer term
  • Be able to explain the School’s fee structure
  • Understand School’s policies and procedures
  • Work with Management regarding strategy associated with the Admissions and Marketing plan
  • Ensure that the Admissions team meets, or exceeds, the annual recruitment targets

 

Requirements:

  • Impeccable presentation and communication skills
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment
  • Experience or sound understanding of the field of education is essential
  • Understanding of UK schooling system (GCSEs and A levels)
  • Experience of managing sales
  • Persuasive communication skills (telephone, face to face and written)
  • Exceptional administration, time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • An empathy for / understanding of the education sector
  • Tech Savvy
  • Ability to hit the ground running
  • Experience using databases/CRM systems
  • Experience with Canvas and Google Education Suite (Google Classroom, Jamboard, Google Meet) advantageous
