Property/Portfolio Manager

The Company

Our client is seeking a portfolio/property manager to manage a privately owned property portfolio comprising a mixture of residential and commercial property as well as three new developments in London. The ideal candidate will have expertise in property management in both residential and commercial sectors and have some experience in project management and dealing with new developments. This role is very diverse and will require handling residential property management, commercial property, property acquisition and sale, refurbishment projects, property sourcing and assisting with new developments.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Represent landlord while dealing with property management companies, authorising budgets and works
  • Monitor and optimise maintenance budgets
  • Act as property manager organising and overseeing works, including landlord repairs, insurance claims and property preparation for new lettings
  • Engage with lettings agents to ensure minimum voids, manage portfolio in terms of overseeing new lettings, achieving optimal rents and securing long-term, low risk tenancies
  • Ensure that legal obligations are complied with (up-to-date gas certificates, EICRs, etc)
  • Organise and coordinate refurbishment projects from planning to commissioning stage



  • Asset management including rent reviews, lease renewals and re-gears
  • Appoint and liaise with agents to secure new lettings
  • Contract management



  • Be the client-side primary point of contact/representative
  • Assisting stakeholders in information and documentation exchange that will optimise the progress of the project (coordinating the work of the professional team including solicitors, architects, QS,etc)
  • At times manage contractors, QS, architects, consultants, interior design, planning
  • Monitor budgets



  • Day-to-day management of mixed portfolio
  • Manage and appoint external consultants (managing agents, solicitors, valuers, planning consultants, project managers, insurance brokers)
  • Conduct site visits/inspections
  • Verify financial transactions such as billings and invoices
  • Check documentation before passing on to Director/Board for signing
  • Ensuring database is kept up to date and accurate (Landlord Vision, Tenancy & Property schedules)
  • Negotiate buying and selling
  • Source properties
  • Proficiency in Excel
